The mft_reader application allows you to read NTFS files directly using the Master File Table, or $MFT. This software is designed for Windows users who need to work with files without worrying about locks or permissions. It requires admin privileges for full functionality.
To get started with mft_reader, you will need to download the software from our releases page.

Choose the Latest Version On the releases page, you will see a list of available versions. Look for the latest version at the top.
Download the Installer Click on the appropriate installer for your system. For most users, this will be an EXE file.
Run the Installer After downloading, locate the downloaded file in your "Downloads" folder. Double-click it to run the installer.
Follow Installation Prompts Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Grant Admin Privileges The application may ask for admin privileges. Grant this permission to allow full access to NTFS files.
Launch the Application Once installed, you can find mft_reader in your Start menu. Click the icon to open the application.
Opening a File Start the application and select the file you wish to examine. You can browse your file system to locate the desired file.
